No, "they" really f***ing won't, because "they" don't care enough about farming to put off getting their reward on the off chance they decide to go back and farm a quest later. Hell, you won't even convince me that the majority of people even farm at all, let alone that they keep quests uncompleted specifically to farm.
The arrogance of some people on this forum....we are a tiny slice of the hardest of the hardcore players, and it doesn't even look like keeping quests uncompleted is a common practice among this community, and yet we have a few individuals here claiming that it's so common that these HM quests will be useless!
You gave me five examples of quests that were farmed. Five. Out of however many hundreds of quests we have. Five. And you have the audacity to claim that HM quests would be useless because people would still have all of the quests still in their logs. Really?
Do I need to go back and remind you chuckleheads that this argument started because Reformed claimed that everyone would have the Villainy of Galrath in their quest log, and so it'd be useless in HM....oh, and that no one would ever turn it in to get the rewards, because they'd want to farm it, naturally. Both parts of that claim are insane, and the cherry on top is that even if you could successfully make the claim that this one quest is worth more as a farming aid than for its reward, there is no possible way that every quest they introduce will be more valuable for farming than for its rewards.

Yes, I think for now it's the wedding costumes on sale. Don't expect everything in the shop to go on sale, and don't expect it all to come at once. I'm expecting maybe 1 or 2 items a week for the next several weeks.

This is exactly how I feel. This minority here does not speak for the majority in so many ways, yet they assume so much.

IMO, let the minority scream their heads off.
Their only accomplishment is they are the minority

Because otherwise you'll have to wait several more years and delete character, is why. There's also more mini's than there are character slots, so if you wanted to collect more of them you are already kind of shot. If you want the HoM points, then you'll have to buy a few.
Gotta look at the trade-offs; you'll have to either buy some or wait years. Buying some is easier and faster.

thats retarded, so you say you would rather create a new character and wait 5 years then playing the game a bit more intense maybe even in the form of farming to get a minipet you want?
Great economic insight you have there

Actually this is something you just made up.
I asked why it wouldn't be redundant to have hard-mode-quests when you could simply have run the quests toggling hard mode, or can you now do both. Rewards is an acceptable answer but for the ones that matter people don't collect them anyways.
A few posters insisted that only a small minority of people hold secondaries which is ridiculous. Sunspear, Lightbringer and Norn all have the fastest maximums on failure to complete or abandoning-for-repeat on a secondary quest. They are well known about, not secrets and certainly not only for 'hardcore players'.

I've already bought 75k in minis last year just to fill in the 'full status'. I don't want to buy any more dammit.
You also have to note that fewer people will be deleting their own characters. If more minis aren't added later on as birthday gifts, the prices of existing years will go up in price and be a bigger problem to obtain. I don't care if they recycle the presents, but they have an economic spot to fill.

Oh yes, assume everyone does this. Then, turn right around and tell everyone that Norn, Sunspear, Lightbringer titles are worthless.. along with every other farmable title, as is so often done here.
The two attitudes go hand in hand. Its the same attitude that somehow validates telling people that anything they have trouble doing is "lol that is faceroll easy".
This forum, as with all game forums, is a small slice of a big pie.

Actually, I don't agree. There is still a large amount of new accounts (new accounts and new characters are still being created on a daily basis), and there are plenty of people out there with characters that are 2, 3 or 4 years old (and several of those people don't care about the minis themselves and just want to sell them). So the amount of minis on the market will still continue to grow.
Besides, you can always buy a few more character slots (soon to be on discount...)

Why is there no thread about the birthday stuff with Razah, online sales, and all of this crap?
Took me forever to find it all.

A quick update: as you may have seen, the in-game and NCsoft store sale are already live. This sale will have one or more items on sale per week, for a duration of six weeks.
The 6th Anniversary build will be published in 2 parts. The first live build will bring all the build features except the Mutual Friends List, and we will also publish the 6th Anniversary announcement on the website at that point, with all the details of this event. A second in-game build later today will push the Mutual Friends List.
We really appreciate your patience on this and we wish you a happy 6th Anniversary!

1. Log in to Guild Wars
2. Press F10
3. Type in 'lightbringer rank'
4. Scroll down to acquisition
It gives a detailed explanation of what to do through the game's own help feature and the official wiki complete with a map. There is nothing elitist about this.

They are known because those quests where introduced to everyone who had never heard of them :
-for A Show of Force and Requiem for a Brain : during the Double Sunspear & Lightbringer points Weekend events
-for Path to Revelations : with Ursan (And now, with the reputations weekends).

You scared me there for a second. For a minute I thought we were going to have to wait several days for that portion of the update ^_^
